In addition to the weekly church services there are also numerous active groups.
If you would like to be involved in any of the groups below or need more information, please do get in touch...

The Church of Scotland Guild is a movement within the Church of Scotland which invites and encourages both women and men to commit their lives to Jesus Christ and enables them to express their faith in worship, prayer and action.
The Guild runs a project partnership scheme, supporting 6 projects for 3 years in the UK and round the world and since 1997 has raised£7 million pounds reflecting the Guild in action.
Our current 3 year strategy is Look Forward in Faith.
Muthill Guild is joining with Crieff Guild for meetings this year. You will be very welcome to attend any of our meetings. Contact us for further information or look on facebook for any notices of meetings.

The Mens Group aims at providing regular fellowship for the men of the congregation and welcomes any interested men from the village. It meets for coffee and chat usually every Wednesday morning around 11am in the north lounge of the church and this is used to plan
other activities of interest to the group. This informal gathering further provides the opportunity to go on to the soup and sandwich lunches which are organised in the church’s Bruce Hall every Wednesday at 12.30pm. Out of these coffee sessions came the early idea of creating a voluntary car service for the village and already this has become a serious project now being created as an independent charity, Muthill Community Transport Group. The Group is also seeking to use its available
DIY skills to improve the vestry in the church building and make it a more conducive space not only as a vestry but also as office accommodation and as a comfortable space for one to one meetings. The Group also hope to work with the new Pastoral Care Team in providing
simple household repairs and support to any people on the pastoral care list. Finally, fellowship also includes outside activities including occasional visits to places of interest and the occasional fun meal out.
The coffee and chat sessions are particularly suitable for the older age because of their timing during the day but the other activities of the Group cover different times and days of the week and are open to anyone of any age who is interested in making new friends.

The Church is interested in physical fitness as well as spiritual and, to aid this, there is a weekly exercise class for those who are free on a Tuesday afternoon starting at 2.15pm. The class is run by the Strathearn Coordinator for Live Active Wellbeing which coordinates social circuit classes across Strathearn aimed at maintaining mobility, balance and strength. There is a charge of £4 per session which include coffee/tea and biscuits afterwards for participants. There are currently about 10-12 regular participants and more are always welcome.

On the first Monday of each month feature film nights are organised in
conjunction with St James Church next door. These events are held in Muthill Parish Church sanctuary starting at 7pm and are followed by sandwiches, cake and refreshment with discussion on the film. The films screened are selected with discussion in mind and have proved very stimulating to those who attend regularly. Details of dates are available from macahiph@gmail.com.

The Book club is now entering its third year and has built up a strong
membership of regulars. There is a review meeting held monthly and books
are selected in turn by the membership. Review meetings are held on a Friday
afternoon starting 3pm over tea and cake. Newcomers are very welcome and
we guarantee stimulating reads and good discussions. More details are
available from macahiph@gmail.com .

The Church operates a Soup and Sandwich Lunch every week which is held in the Bruce Hall on a Wednesday at 12.30pm.
